37 Years of Guiding Students to Mastery in IB & AP Sciences, A Levels and IGCSE & GCSE
For over three and a half decades, my greatest professional joy has not simply been teaching mathematics and physics, but in unlocking them for my students. I believe these subjects are not just collections of formulas to be memorized, but beautiful languages for understanding the universe. My mission is to demystify these languages, transforming confusion into clarity and anxiety into confidence. I specialise in guiding students through the most challenging international curricula, where this deep, conceptual understanding is the key to top scores.My extensive career has afforded me the privilege of working with a distinguished and international clientele. This includes tutoring the children of prominent international business families and serving as a trusted academic advisor to the children and grandchildren of foreign presidents. These experiences have honed my ability to provide not only exceptional academic instruction but also the utmost professionalism, adaptability, and discretion. I understand the unique pressures and expectations that can accompany such backgrounds and am adept at creating a focused, supportive, and results-oriented learning environment.
At the core of my practice is a deep, 37-year mastery of the IB Diploma Programme in Maths and Physics, A Level Maths and AP Calculus AB and BC. I have a particular passion for mentoring students through the IB Internal Assessment, guiding them to formulate compelling research questions and structure high-scoring reports. For GCSE Maths and AP Calculus, I focus on building a rock-solid foundational understanding that allows students to tackle any problem with assurance. My long tenure with these curricula means I can anticipate pitfalls and teach the strategic thinking essential for top achievement.
My teaching style is patient, adaptive, and highly personalised. I quickly identify individual learning gaps and strengths, tailoring my approach to ensure that each session is maximally effective. Whether we are breaking down the fundamentals of calculus for a future engineer or refining an IA investigation for an aspiring physicist, my goal is the same: to equip you not just for an exam, but with a robust understanding that will serve you in all future academic pursuits.
